Adult Ceramic Braces-20 Month Journey- Midline off, Still in elastics and waiting patiently

Hello and welcome to my blog, my braces journey has been a very humbling experience. This has taught me patience if nothing else. There are so many things going on underneath my gums and killing part about it is you cannot see it. I have watched my progress over the past 20 months and it has been amazing. I don't know the dental lingo but I know I am very impatient.

I know I can't rush this, but it is apparent that I will be wearing my braces in 2016'. I have a couple of things still to fix (just my opinion):
My midline is off a little bit
My bottom teeth are completely hidden when I smile, looks like I have an over bite
Space on right side has almost completely closed and I have a very small space on bottom left

I noticed from my old pictures that my midline was off horribly when I first got my braces. The midline is where the line is between the top and bottom teeth along with the nose line up.

I am somewhat happy with my results, my teeth look 100% better than the first photo. This was quite  embarrassing, I am so glad I decided to get braces. I do not know how much longer I have to wear them, but honestly I know it is going to be next year for sure. When my dentist not my ortho said another year I just looked in amazement. So all I can do is be patient.

Thanks for watching my video and reading my blog. I probably won't update until 2016'.

Adult Ceramic Braces- Dealing with four new brackets on back upper and lower molars

Good day people, I am sitting here drinking my coffee WITHOUT my rubber bands on, lol. I know, I know,.....I am supposed to be wearing them 24/7, but guess what? I am getting ready to have breakfast, lol. This is day #4 with wearing these rubber bands all day and night.
First let me tell you, it's not painful, but I feel restrained in a sense, like my mouth can't open, lol. Well I can open my mouth, but in this case, not as much as I'd like. I have experienced pressure and excessive drooling occasionally at the mouth but other than that it's not painful. Do I like it, uhhh, no, but this is to speed up the ending result I guess. I guess things need to be closed and lined up. As my brother says, "your getting your bite right"......
I have decided to follow Dr.s orders and wear my rubber bands with the exception that I will be taking a break through out the day before putting them back on, like now. I am giving my poor mouth a break.
I didn't notice until today how much my right side has moved, it has moved a lot, considering how big of a gap was on that side, here is a photo:

I have finally noticed a big change yippee!! I am so glad to see this big gap is closing. Now I have to stay with the rubber bands to see if there will be more of a change in the next 4 weeks.
Since I don't have on double power chains, this is really tolerable. The person that was doing my last install was not very happy with putting them on.... Well that's just about it, I will see you at my next update!! Be blessed!!
